The Bundestag constituency Schleswig - Eckernförde was a constituency in Schleswig-Holstein for the elections to the German Bundestag . Most recently, it comprised the Schleswig district and the Rendsburg-Eckernförde districts of Altenholz and Eckernförde as well as the offices of Dänischenhagen , Dänischer Wohld , Gettorf , Hütten , Schlei , Schwansen , Windeby and Wittensee . The constituency also included the districts of Friedrichsort, Holtenau, Pries and Schilksee of the city of Kiel .

The constituency of Schleswig - Eckernförde had the number 3 for the federal elections from 1949 to 1961 and the constituency number 2 for the elections from 1965 to 1972.

The area of ​​the constituency comprised the district of Eckernförde and the district of Schleswig from 1949 to 1961 . From the Schleswig district, the communities Esmark , Kappeln , Obdrup , Rehberg , Rüde and Satrup belonged to the constituency of Flensburg and the communities Alt Bennebek , Bargen , Bergenhusen , Börm , Dbodstedt , Drage , Erfde , Friedrichstadt , Klein Bennebek , Meggerdorf , Norderstapel , Seeth , Süderstapel , Tetenhusen , Tielen and Wohlde to the constituency Norder- and Süderdithmarschen .

From 1965 to 1972 the constituency existed in the form described above. Before the 1976 federal election, the constituency was split up; the northern part went to the constituency of Flensburg - Schleswig and the southern part to the constituency of Rendsburg-Eckernförde .
