The Burgstall Lichteburg , also known as Lichtenburg, is an abandoned medieval hilltop castle at 651 m above sea level. NHN in the Goldkronacher Forest , a community-free area about 2200 meters east-southeast of the church of Goldkronach in the Bayreuth district in Bavaria .
Only a shallow neck moat has survived from the castle complex. Today the Burgstall is registered by the Bavarian State Office for the Preservation of Monuments as a ground monument D-4-5936-0012 "Medieval ground-level residence" .
