The Postal Schlossberg is an Outbound hilltop castle at Prebitz in the Upper Franconian district of Bayreuth in Bavaria .
The hilltop castle was located in the summit area of the Schlossberg on the border between Prebitz and Neuhof . Since there is no documentary evidence, a prehistoric site is assumed. After several wind turbines have been erected on the mountain, the facility is easily accessible via the newly created paths. The outer wall area is directly adjacent to one of the wind turbines. There are traces of an approximately rectangular outer wall and uneven terrain in the center. In the slope area north of the castle, the Kirchsteig from Prebitz in the direction of Creußen runs partly as a ravine, a little below in the Brunnenrangen corridor there was a water point.
The cartographer of the Plassenburg , Johann Christoph Stierlein , made a detailed plan of the location of the castle stable in 1792. He drew strong enclosing walls in an approximately rectangular shape, which he observed above ground on three sides and only recorded as traces of the terrain to the east. No special features are noted in the center, the path apparently used to run exactly over the summit ridge and forked there twice.
