Chajdyce ( German Neu Jerutten ) is a small place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Świętajno (rural community Schwentainen , 1938 to 1945 Altkirchen (Eastern Pr.) ) In the powiat Szczycieński ( Ortelsburg district ).
Geographical location
Chajdyce is located in the southern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , twelve kilometers east of the district town of Szczytno ( German Ortelsburg ).
history
The small settlement was founded in 1835. It consisted of several small farms and until 1945 was part of the community of Groß Jerutten ( Jeruty in Polish ) in the East Prussian district of Ortelsburg .
1945 New Jerutten came in consequence of the war with the entire East Prussia to Poland and received the Polish form of the name "Chajdyce". Today's hamlet (Polish Osada ) is part of the Schulzenamt (Polish Sołectwo ) Jeruty (Groß Jerutten) within the Gmina Świętajno (rural community Schwentainen , 1938 to 1945 Altkirchen (Eastern Pr.) ) In the powiat Szczycieński ( Ortelsburg district ), which until 1998 of Olsztyn Voivodeship and has since belonged to the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .

Until 1945 Neu Jerutten was parish in the Evangelical Church of Schwentainen (Ortelsburg district) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Roman Catholic Church of Ortelsburg in the Diocese of Warmia . Today Chajdyce belongs to the Catholic St. Andreas Bobola Parish Świętajno in the current Archdiocese of Warmia and to the Evangelical Church of Szczytno in the Diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical Augsburg Church in Poland .

Chajdyce is located on a side road that leads from Jeruty (Groß Jerutten) when crossing state road 53 to Jerutki (Klein Jerutten) . The nearest train station is in Jeruty and is on the Olsztyn – Ełk railway line ( Allenstein – Lyck in German ).
