Łąck Mały [ wɔnt͡sk ˈmaʊ̯ɨ ] is a small place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Świętajno (rural community Schwentainen , 1938 to 1945 Altkirchen (Eastern Pr.) ) In the powiat Szczycieński ( Ortelsburg district ).
history
There is no information about the history of the place, not even whether it had a German name before 1945. Presumably it was in the area of the then municipality Grünwalde (Polish: Kolonia ) in the East Prussian district of Ortelsburg , which also included the place Lontzig , which is now called Łąck Wielki in Polish . For example, Łąck Mały could mean the living space of the former forest secretary's farm in Lontzig (northeast of Lontzig).
Geographical location
Łąck Mały is located east of the Ratzeburg Lake ( Polish Jezioro Świętajno Łąckie ) in the southern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , 20 kilometers east of the district town of Szczytno ( German Ortelsburg ).
Today Łąck Mały is a village within the Gmina Świętajno (rural municipality Schwentainen , 1938 to 1945 Altkirchen (Eastern Pr.) ) In the powiat Szczycieński ( Ortelsburg district ), until 1998 of the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then part of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .
Łąck Mały is located on a side road that leads from Kolonia (Grünwalde) to Babięta (Babienten , 193 to 1945 Babenten) on state road 58 . Kolonia is the nearest train station and is on the Olsztyn – Ełk ( German Allenstein – Lyck ) railway line .
