Winner of the Chicago Film Critics Association Awards in the category Best Supporting Actor (Best Supporting Actor) . Every year in mid-December, the American Film Critics Association announces its awards for the best film productions and filmmakers of the current calendar year. As in the case of the Oscar or Golden Globe awards, these are selected from five nominees.
Most successful in this category was the American Martin Landau , who won the award twice. The film critics association has succeeded in presenting the Oscar winner thirteen times, most recently in 2016 when it presented the award to Mahershala Ali ( Moonlight ). In 2010, with Christoph Waltz in Inglourious Basterds , an actor from German-speaking countries was able to enter the list of winners for the first time.
