Christine Richter (born February 27, 1962 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German actress .

Life

education

Christine Richter grew up in her native city of Frankfurt am Main. From the age of 5 to 19, she was an active figure skater and won the German figure skating championships. She first attended the vocational school for gymnastics (1982–1985), then the vocational school for cosmetics (1986–1987).

From 1989 to 1992/93 she attended the Okcolicsanyi drama school in Frankfurt am Main, from which she graduated with a diploma and the state stage entrance examination. She also took acting, dance and singing training in London and New York. She was temporarily a member of the Donald Samuels Dance Company, where she appeared as a dancer in the field of modern dance theater.

Richter began her stage career in the 1994/95 season at the Hildesheim City Theater , where she was a permanent member of the ensemble for two seasons until the end of the 1995/96 season. During her permanent engagement, she played various leading roles in spoken theater and musicals, among others. a. Kathy Selden in Singin 'in the Rain , Sally Smith in Me and My Girl , Audrey in Der kleine Horrorladen , Frenchy in Grease , and Alice Rüttersbusch in The Rats and the Mayor's Wife in The Visit of the Old Lady (both in the 1995 season / 96).

Richter has been working as a freelance actress since 1996. From 1996 she had regular theater engagements, mainly in Frankfurt at the Fritz-Rémond-Theater , at the Komödie Frankfurt , where she participated in over 15 productions until 2015, and at the Katakombe Frankfurt .

From 1997 she appeared for five years in a row in the summer months at the fairy tale festival in Hanau , where she received the audience award in 1998 and the critic award in 2000. In the 1999/00 season she appeared at the Comedy Frankfurt alongside Herbert Bötticher in Curt Goetz 'play Dr. med. Job Praetorius up. In August 2001 she played at the Düsseldorfer Kom (m) ödchen in the world premiere of Autumn in New York , which the author Ulrich Jokiel wrote especially for her. In addition, she appeared regularly in drama, musical and operetta productions at the Volkstheater Frankfurt , a. a. as Hodel in Anatevka (2005–2007, director: Wolfgang Kaus , with Tony Marshall as milkman Tevje and Helene Fischer as partners), as Ottilie in Im Weiße Rößl (2006–2007, director: Wolfgang Kaus), as Countess Almaviva in Ein toller Tag (2005/06 season, director: Wolfgang Kaus) and as Ella in Charley's Aunt (2005/06 season).

From the 2007/08 season she appeared regularly at the Schlosstheater Celle . She played there u. a. Die Spelunkenjenny in Brecht / Weill's Die Dreigroschenoper (2007/08 season), as Mrs. Pearce in My Fair Lady (2008/09 season), as Mrs. Bertolt in The Judgment of Nuremberg (2008/09 season), as consul in Die Buddenbrooks (2009/10 season) and as Mrs. Hollunder in Liliom (2009/10 season).

Since the 2011/12 season she has appeared regularly at the Ekhof Festival in Gotha , such as Rosaura in Der Lügner by Carlo Goldoni (2011/12 season) and as Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet (2012/13 season, 13/14 season) and in July / August 2016). In the 2012/13 season she made a guest appearance in a Heinz-Erhardt -Revue at the Komödie im Marquardt in Stuttgart .

In 2014 she was in the comedy Frankfurt as the great secretary Mrs. Weguscheit in Claus Helmer's staging of Heinz Erhardt's play That one has now . In the 2015/16 season she played, under the direction of Pia Hänggi , at the Fritz-Rémond-Theater in a stage version of Anna Gavalda's novel Together we are less alone , in which Maximilian Claus , Ursula Dirichs and Jens Knospe were her partners. Movie and TV

Richter also took on some roles, mostly minor roles, in short films, television films, and television series, and made commercials. In the summer of 2017, Richter was in front of the camera for the series Country Girls , HR's first web series .

Teaching and private

In addition to her acting activities, Richter is also active as an acting pedagogue, language and voice trainer, as well as coach and personal trainer. She lives in Frankfurt am Main.
