Cindy Pickett (born April 18, 1947 in Sand Springs , Oklahoma ) is an American actress . In her 35-year career she played in over 70 film productions in cinema and television. Including in A jump in the bowl , Ferris goes blue , Deep Star Six , Sleepwalker or Son-in-Law Junior .

life and career

Cindy Pickett was born in Sand Springs in 1947, the daughter of the acting teacher and theater director Cecil J. Pickett in the state of Oklahoma. Cindy was already on a theater stage at the age of six. Her father taught drama first at Bellaire High School and later as a professor at the University of Houston . In addition to his daughter, his students also included the names of actors such as Dennis Quaid and Randy Quaid , Trey Wilson , Robert Wuhl and Brent Spiner . In addition to her studies at the University of Houston, Cindy later also studied at the University of Texas .

Cindy Pickett began her acting career in the late 1970s with roles in the popular TV series Springfield Story . In 2017 she starred in Rod McCall's drama Being Rose , opposite Cybill Shepherd , James Brolin and Pam Grier .

In addition to her film and television career, the actress was also seen in theater roles, including 2012 as Queen Gertrude in Shakespeare's Hamlet.

Cindy Pickett was married to actor Lyman Ward from 1986 until their divorce in 1992 . She met her husband while filming the film production Ferris macht blau , where they played the parents of Matthew Broderick together . The two have two children together.
