The Club Museum is the club museum of 1. FC Nürnberg (short: 1. FCN, Der Club or Franconian Der Glubb ), in which above all the history of the football department since it was founded in 1900 is documented. The museum is located in the entrance area of the new functional building at the FCN club area Sportpark Valznerweiher and is freely accessible.
Emergence
After the museums of the city of Nuremberg set up a permanent exhibition on the history of the association in the Museum of Industrial Culture for the 100th anniversary of the association in 2000 , the municipal museum association and 1. FC Nuremberg announced the opening of an independent museum at a joint press conference on April 24, 2012 known. The existing exhibits were transferred to the new museum, which opened in September 2012.

The department gives an overview of the players of 1. FC Nürnberg , with detailed information and exhibits on club legends such as Heiner Stuhlfauth , Max Morlock , Dieter Eckstein or Marek Mintal . For instance, in the exhibition such as the trademark as chair Fauths known Flat Cap, the world champion jersey Max Morlocks of 1954 , as well as a top scorer Marek Mintals. Jan Kristiansen's Sportschau medal for goal of the month is in the museum, as is the oldest surviving club jersey from 1919.
successes
The club's successes are presented on the basis of a Walk of Fame with replicas of the most important national cups. However, it is not possible to display all the trophies won, since a total of 140 prizes have been missing since 1940. At the time, these were picked up as part of the metal donation of the German people in order to forge World War II weapons. But to see in the showcases include the German championship trophy , the Victoria Cup , the DFB Cup and the golden pheasants Cup . More information and texts on the finals and titles are also on display boards.

history
The museum also deals in particular with the history of the club's origins and its development from a financial and social point of view and tells the story using exhibits, texts, anecdotes, videos, audio samples and data on the club's history . There is also a replica of the association register of the city of Nuremberg , in which the FCN was first mentioned on May 4, 1900 in the exhibition. The time of National Socialism is also dealt with and the Jewish association members who were excluded at the time are honored with a memorial plaque. It was unveiled at an event with Evelyn Konrad after all club exclusions under the 1933 Nazi " Aryan Paragraph " were symbolically canceled on January 22, 2013 . She is the daughter of the former Jewish club trainer Jenő Konrád , who posthumously received honorary membership.

The exhibition also goes into the fan scene of 1. FC Nürnberg and describes its development, special friendships, such as with the fans of FC Schalke 04 or Rapid Vienna and support, especially on an international level, with advertising trips to Spain , Great Britain or the USA . The content is presented in the form of texts, images, reports, anecdotes and exhibits.
