Life
From 1718 to 1739 he was the editor of the Moralische Wochenschrift Talks in dem Reicher der Todten in Leipzig . Faßmann had been a member of the tobacco college since 1726. There he entertained as a joker and “news teller” alongside Jacob Paul von Gundlingthe king and his company. Faßmann caricatured the outward appearances of life and the people at the royal court in amusing, detailed descriptions. In 1731 he gave the funeral sermon to Jacob Paul von Gundling at court , who was buried in a barrel in a ridiculous manner. Since 1731 he was a full member of the Royal Prussian Society of Sciences . Fassmann died on a trip to Karlsbad in Bohemia .
