Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas ( Engl. Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas ) is a sequel to the film Beauty and the Beast of the Walt Disney Company in 1997. The film is timed one within the first part, available for Part but also the prehistory to the first part. Among other things, it shows in more detail than in the prologue of the first part how the transformation from prince to beast came about. 1998 followed with Beauty and the Beast: Belle's Magical World another part.

Belle is looking forward to Christmas, but the beast is not. He wants to ban the festival in the castle entirely, but with the help of her enchanted friends von Unruh, Lumiere, Madame Pottine and the Christmas angel Angelique, she still wants to organize a Christmas party for the beast. Before Belle and her friends can impress him with the idea, they must thwart the evil plans of the Forte Organ.

The first release of the film took place in November 1997 on VHS in the USA. A DVD version followed in October 1998 and a special edition in 2002 . The film has been translated into French, Spanish, Portuguese and Polish, among others.

The production first appeared in German on VHS in 1998. A DVD followed in October 1999. In November 2010, a special edition of the film was released on DVD as part of the new release of "Beauty and the Beast".
