Dietmar Burkhard (born July 1, 1956 in Gransee ) is a German actor .

Life

Dietmar Burkhard, who grew up in Berlin, made the decision to become an actor at the age of eight. Before that, after finishing school at the Greifswald nuclear power plant , he learned the trade of machinist , where he founded a cabaret immediately after starting work . After completing his vocational training, he did three years of military service in the National People's Army , during which he also actively worked as an artist. From 1978 to 1981 Burkhard attended the State Drama School in Berlin . Then he attended, as one of the first three chosen, the master class of the drama school at the Theater im Palast under Wolfgang Heinz and Thomas Langhoff , where he stood on stage with well-known GDR actors. In July 1983, he came to audition in the Volksbühne Berlin after him an offer of Cabaret Theater Distel did not appeal, and there was his first role in the solid commitment as Christy Mahon in the play The Playboy of the Western World by John Millington Synge under directed by Ursula Karusseit .
