Marriage in the USA
The marriageable age in the US varies from state to state. Generally, marriage in the United States is 18 years. There are two exceptions: Nebraska (19 years old) and Mississippi (21 years old). All states allow minors to marry with parental consent and / or a court of law. In some states, this is not required if the bride is pregnant . The minimum age is between 12 and 17 years, depending on the state, although 27 states have no statutory minimum age.
