Erichmühle is a district of the Wendelstein market in the Roth district of Central Franconia .
geography
The wasteland is about 15 kilometers south of Nuremberg and seven kilometers east of Schwabach . The Schwarzach flows north of Erichmühle and, with the exception of the power plant levels, meanders mostly in its natural state . From the south the Lohbach flows into the Schwarzach at Erichmühle ; this takes up the treated wastewater from the sewage treatment plant on the opposite bank. The place is located in the middle of an extensive water and landscape protection area .
Erichmühle is located on the district road RH 1 , which crosses State Road 2239 to Kleinschwarzenlohe (0.7 km northwest) and Großschwarzenlohe (0.4 km south).
history
The place was first mentioned in a document in 1372 as "Jörgenmühl". The place name means to the mill of Georg. In the course of time the place name was blurred: Irgersmühle (1562), Ergersmühle (1716), Erichmühle (from 1727). The place was probably founded around 1200 like Königshammer, which is only one kilometer downstream . The place was on a bridge that led over the Schwarzach. From 1372 the mill had the Siechkobelstiftung St. Peter and Paul of the imperial city of Nuremberg as landlord , but the Fraisch held the office of Schwabach of the burgraviate of Nuremberg , followed by the margraviate of Ansbach from 1427 . Immediately to the north, the Fraisch bordered the imperial city of Nuremberg (see map). In 1448, at the same time as the consecration of the All Saints Church in the immediately neighboring Kleinschwarzenlohe, Erichmühle was used as a knife and sword grinding shop and sawmill.
In 1632 the place was burned as a result of the Thirty Years' War . Further fires, each with subsequent reconstruction, are known from the years 1774 and 1963.
At the end of the 18th century, Erichmühle belonged to Großschwarzenlohe. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach judicial office Schwand . The grinding and sawmill was owned by the Siechkobel Foundation of St. Peter and Paul of the Imperial City of Nuremberg. Under the Prussian administration (1792–1806) of the Principality of Ansbach, Erichmühle was given house number 26 in Großschwarzenlohe. The mill has belonged to the Braun family since 1791.
As part of the municipal edict, Erichmühle was assigned to the Großschwarzenlohe tax district , 1st section in 1808 . It also belonged to the Großschwarzenlohe rural community formed in 1818 .
During the Second World War , two incendiary bombs fell on the Erichmühle on March 8, 1943, one of which ricocheted off the roof and fell into the water, the other broke through the roof and got stuck in the heaped grain without exploding. The wooden single-lane Schwarzach Bridge (see picture) was replaced in 1931 by a flood-proof two-lane concrete structure. In 2007 this was renewed. Erichmühle was repeatedly badly damaged by floods and fires and was rebuilt.
On May 1, 1978, Erichmühle was incorporated into Wendelstein as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
In 1980 the sawmill was given up and water power was used to generate electricity. In 1995 the sawmill was torn down and replaced by a new building. Today the Erichmühle houses a wood and garden market. Only the former servants' house of the Erichmühle is preserved in its original state of construction.
