church

The core of the Evangelical Lutheran parish church in Fürstenhagen consists of a defensive tower made of sandstone quarry stone , which is dated to the 13th century and thus comes from the time before the place fell into desolation. The fortified church covered an almost square base area of 8.30 by 8.50 m and is still around 7 m high today. In 1563, the Fürstenhagen chapel community was elevated to a parish and the church in the east was expanded to include a half-timbered extension. After the Thirty Years' War , the church had to be renovated and was given its present form with a high turret over the western part of the old fortified tower. In 1967 the interior was redesigned.
