Feistritz is a village in the Carinthian market town of Metnitz with 128 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). The village lies entirely in the territory of the cadastral community Feistritz .
location
The village extends widely in the southern part of the municipality of Metnitz in Feistritztal, the largest right side valley of the Metnitz. It can be reached from Grades on a narrow road past the St. Wolfgang church, and from Marienheim via the L62c (Prekover Landesstraße).
history
The church of Feistritz ( Wztrich ) is already mentioned around 1100 . From 1131 the parish Feistritz appears, which together with Metnitz is one of the two oldest parishes in the upper Metnitztal. The listed parish church Feistritz ob Grades has a Romanesque core accordingly.
As part of the tax or cadastral municipality Feistritz, Feistritz became part of the municipality of Grades in the course of the reforms after the revolution of 1848/49 . In 1973 the municipalities of Grades and Metnitz were merged, so that today the village belongs to the municipality of Metnitz.

- 2001: 63 buildings, 150 inhabitants
- 2014: 65 buildings, 149 inhabitants

In the area of the village are the individual farms Agritzer , Bacher , Bucher , Dolzer , Dörfler (in the upper Feistritztal) , Dörfler (in the lower Feistritztal) , Gadotzer , Ganacher , Göderle , Habersack , Hornbonger , Kogler , Kraber , Ladinig , Ladusger , Lamer , Lauchard , Leitner , Moar im Kranabeth , Oberer Moser , Oberleitner , Prekova , Schickbauer , Schrottenbacher , Simperl , Sommerleitner , Stallnig , Starnegger , Struitz , Sumper , Tonner , Unterer Moser , Unterer Steiner , Walder , Wiesbichler , Winkler , Zechner in der Ebene and the Reggerhof inn .
A temporary distinction was made between the local parts of Bach , Hinterort , Oberort , Schattseite and Sonnseite :
Brook
For the Rotte Bach , 2 houses with 11 inhabitants were given in 1890 and 5 houses with 28 inhabitants in 1900.
Hinterort
In 1890, 17 houses with 157 inhabitants and in 1900 13 houses with 101 inhabitants were given for the Hinterort group .
Oberort
For the Rotte Oberort , 16 houses with 61 inhabitants were given in 1890 and 16 houses with 25 inhabitants in 1900.
Downside
For the Rotte Schattseite 11 houses with 89 inhabitants were given in 1890 and 11 houses with 75 inhabitants in 1900.
Sunny side
In 1890 22 houses with 161 inhabitants and in 1900 21 houses with 158 inhabitants were given for the Rotte Sonnseite .
