Schnatten is a village in the Carinthian market town of Metnitz with 23 (as of January 1, 2020) inhabitants. The village lies entirely in the territory of the cadastral community Feistritz .

location

The village is located on the eastern edge of the municipality of Metnitz on the right-hand slopes of the Metnitztal , and can be reached via the L62c (Prekova-Straße).

As part of the tax or cadastral municipality of Feistritz, Schnatten became part of the municipality of Grades in the course of the reforms after the revolution of 1848/49 . In 1973 the municipalities of Grades and Metnitz were merged, so that today the village belongs to the municipality of Metnitz.

In the area of the village there are the individual farms Haberland , Haberzettl , Haßhold , Lagler , Mayer , Oberer Ortner , Tamegger and Unterer Ortner .

For the Rotte Schattseite 11 houses with 96 inhabitants were given in 1890 and 11 houses with 96 inhabitants in 1900.

Sunny side

For the Rotte Sonnseite 8 houses with 56 inhabitants and in 1900 7 houses with 51 inhabitants were given.

In the first censuses, the area of what is now known as Marienheim was counted as part of Schnatten.
