Vellach is a village in the Carinthian market town of Metnitz with 105 (as of January 1, 2020) inhabitants. The village lies entirely in the territory of the cadastral community Feistritz .

location

The village is located in the center of the cadastral community Feistritz, on the slopes of the Vellachbach, which flows into the Metnitzbach on the right opposite the Metnitz village .

history

As part of the tax and cadastral municipality Feistritz, Vellach became part of the municipality of Grades in the course of the reforms after the revolution of 1848/49 . In 1973 the municipalities of Grades and Metnitz were merged, so that today the village belongs to the municipality of Metnitz.
