Oberalpe is a village in the Carinthian market town of Metnitz with 11 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). The village lies entirely in the territory of the Metnitz Land cadastral community .

location

The village is located in the Metnitz Mountains in the northern part of the Metnitz municipality, in a side valley of the Wöbringbach, which in turn is a tributary of the Metnitzbach on the left . It is accessible from the L62a road.

In the first censuses, Schachmannthal , which lies beyond the Hirschstein in the far north-west of the Metnitz municipality, was also considered to be part of the Oberalpe village. Schachmannthal is currently part of the village of Felfernigthal .

Population development
