Forio is an Italian commune in the west of the island of Ischia with 18,028 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the metropolitan city of Naples , Campania region . It is located at the foothills of Monte Epomeo and has one of the most beautiful beaches in Ischia, Citara Beach, with many thermal springs.

The neighboring towns of Forio are Casamicciola Terme , Lacco Ameno and Serrara Fontana .
