Friedrich Wilhelm von Brünneck (born February 12, 1785 in Potsdam , † March 6, 1859 in Berlin ) was a Prussian infantry general .

His parents were the Prussian Field Marshal Wilhelm Magnus von Brünneck (1727-1817) and his first wife Charlotte Sophie Wilhelmine, née von Pannewitz (1756-1796).

Career

Brünneck joined the 1st East Prussian Fusilier Brigade of the Prussian Army as a private corporal on January 1, 1800, and was transferred to the Guard regiment on April 1, 1801 . There he rose to second lieutenant until the beginning of March 1805 . In 1806 he became a regimental adjutant and took part in the fighting at Auerstedt and Nordhausen during the Fourth Coalition War, before Brünneck was captured near Prenzlau. But it was exchanged and on April 26, 1807 came to the Zieten Brigade. He then took part in the battles at Heilsberg and Königsberg . On August 10, 1807 he was aggregated to the "Zieten" Dragoon Regiment .

After the Peace of Tilsit , Brünneck was aggregated to the Regiment Garde on foot on February 11, 1808, and was assigned on February 15, 1808. On December 24, 1810, he was promoted to prime lieutenant . As a captain of the staff , Brünneck became adjutant to General von Blücher on August 22, 1811 . After his departure , he joined General Field Marshal Kalckreuth as an adjutant on October 3, 1811, and on March 5, 1813, Brünneck returned as an adjutant to General Blücher, who was now back in the army. There he was promoted to captain on June 13, 1813 . After the war, Brünneck was aggregated to the 13th Infantry Regiment on January 28, 1816 . On March 30, 1817, he joined the 4th Infantry Regiment as a battalion commander . From there he was transferred to the 32nd Infantry Regiment as commander on July 21, 1822 . On March 30, 1823 he became a colonel , received the service cross in 1825 and the Order of the Red Eagle III on January 18, 1827 . Class. On March 30, 1832 he was appointed commander of the 13th Landwehr Brigade and two years later transferred to the 1st Infantry Brigade in the same function . He died on March 6, 1859 in Berlin and was buried in the family crypt in Trebnitz on March 7, 1859.

Brünneck married Freiin Friederike Henriette Luise Charlotte von Haxthausen (* 1797; † 24 September 1821) in Paderborn on August 20, 1817 . The daughter Wilhelmine Amalie Anna (* May 21, 1818 - April 22, 1840) emerged from the marriage.

After the death of his first wife, he married Adelheid Luise Sophie von Haugwitz on July 18, 1825 in Hermsdorf (Görlitz district) (* July 18, 1801; † March 12, 1839). The couple had two sons:
