The Verbandsliga Mittelrhein 1961/62 was the 6th season of the Verbandsliga Mittelrhein , which from 1959 to 1978 was the top division in men's amateur football on the Middle Rhine . Until 1963, this league, together with the association leagues Niederrhein and Westphalia, represented the substructure of the II. West Division and was third-class in the German football league system of that time .

Season end

TuRa Bonn was Mittelrheinmeister, but remained in the association league, as they waived promotion. The Stolberger SV and Viktoria Alsdorf had to relegate to the Landesliga Mittelrhein . Rose to new from the national leagues season 1962/63 the first FC Cologne amateurs and BC Efferen on.
