Góry ( German  Bergen ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship . It belongs to the Gmina Białogard (municipality of Belgard) in the powiat Białogardzki (Belgarder district) .

Geographical location

Góry is the southernmost village of Gmina Białogard. It can be reached via the Voivodship Road No. 163 Kołobrzeg ( Kolberg ) - Wałcz ( Deutsche Krone ) in the junction at Tychówko ( Woldisch Tychow ) to Rąbino ( Groß Rambin ). The distance to the county seat is 27 kilometers. The nearest train station is Rąbino on the Stargard Szczeciński – Gdańsk railway line .

history

In 1910 the Bergen manor had 182 inhabitants. The Grünhof Vorwerk also belonged to the manor district .

Bergen was later incorporated into the neighboring rural community of Wutzow and belonged to the Belgard district (Persante) until 1945 .

In 1945 Bergen, like all of Western Pomerania, came to Poland. The place received the Polish place name "Góry" and today belongs to the Gmina Białogard in the powiat Białogardzki .

Ecclesiastically Bergen was in the until 1945 parish Woldisch Tychow the parish and belonged to the church district Belgard in the church Pomerania the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Góry is part of the parish Koszalin ( Köslin ) in the diocese of Pomerania-Greater Poland of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .
