Kamosowo (German Kamissow ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship . It belongs to the rural community (gmina wiejska) Białogard ( Belgard ) in the powiat Białogardzki .

Geographical location

Kamosowo is located seven kilometers southwest of Białogard and can be reached via a side road to Sławoborze ( Stolzenberg ) - Świdwin ( Schivelbein ). The small railway line Białogard - Sławoborze runs through the village. The Feldmark is bordered by the Parsęta ( Persante ) and the Topiel ( Nonnenbach ).

history

The manor and farming village of Kamissow has been documented since 1493. The manor - like the neighboring Natztow estate - was a fief of the von Wopersnow family until 1773 . Then it came into the possession of von Kleist , under whose management it flourished.

The rural community Kamissow was formed in 1928 from the then manor district and the village community. In 1939, 246 people lived in 60 households in the 771.5 hectare community. In addition to the estate, there were five larger and 25 smaller farms. There were no independent craft businesses. In the distillery, large quantities of potatoes were processed into alcohol. The last of the previously existing brickworks was closed in the 18th century.

The responsible registry office was in standemin . The Landjägermeister did the police duties in the Vorwerk .

On March 3, 1945, Soviet troops entered the village. Several buildings were destroyed and the residents were displaced . Today Kamissow belongs as a Polish village Kamosowo to the municipality of Białogard.

Kamissow Office

Kamissow belonged to the district of Belgard (Persante) until 1945 and formed a separate administrative district with the communities of Natztow and Sager .

church

Kamissow was parish until 1945 in the parish of the Marienkirche Belgard and was thus in the parish of Belgard. This belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Pomerania of the Protestant Church of the Old Prussian Union . The last clergy before 1945 were Superintendent Johannes Zitzke and Pastor Dr. Hans Wenschkewitz and Gerhard Schlecht.

Today Kamosowo is in the parish of Koszalin ( Köslin ) ( diocese of Pomerania-Greater Poland ) of the Polish Evangelical-Augsburg Church . The place of the church is Białogard, as it used to be, where the services only take place in the old George Church (Kościół św. Jerzego).

school

Kamissow had its own single-class elementary school until 1945.
