Przegonia ( German Heidekrug, Belgard / Pommern district ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Białogard (rural community Belgard) in the powiat Białogardzki (Belgarder Kreis) .
Geographical location
Przegonia is located eight kilometers southeast of the district town of Białogard on the right bank of the Parsęta ( Persante ) on Voivodeship Road 163 from Kołobrzeg ( Kolberg ) to Wałcz ( Deutsch Krone ), the former German Reichsstrasse 124 . The nearest train station is Białogard on the Stargard state railway line in Pomerania-Danzig and Neustettin-Kolberg . Between 1905 and 2007 the end of the line was via the Moczyłki ( Springkrug ) stop on the Belgard-Schwellin small train line of the Köslin-Belgarder Bahnen .
History
The small colony of Heidekrug was incorporated into the community of Roggow (today in Polish: Rogowo) with the Springkrug and Sternkrug settlements . At that time 122 people lived here in 12 houses. Roggow was the official seat and seat of a registry office and belonged to the district of Belgard (Persante) in the administrative district of Köslin in the Prussian province of Pomerania .
Since 1945 the place now called Przegonia belongs to Poland and is now part of the Gmina Białogard (rural community Belgard) in the powiat Białogardzki (Belgarder Kreis) of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship (1975-1998 Koslin Voivodeship ). The settlement is assigned to the Schulzenamt (sołectwo) Byszyno ( Boissin ). A little more than a hundred inhabitants live here today.

Until 1945 the population of Heidekrug was almost without exception Protestant denomination. The place belonged to the parish of the Belgarder Marienkirche in the parish of Belgard in the Ostsprengel of the ecclesiastical province of Pomerania of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . The last German clergyman was Superintendent Johannes Zitzke , who was able to stay in Białogard until 1947.
The majority of the population in Przegonia has been Catholic since 1945 . They belong to the parish of Byszyno in the deanery Białogard in the diocese of Köslin-Kolberg of the Catholic Church in Poland . Protestant church members are now assigned to the Koszalin ( Köslin ) parish in the Pomeranian-Greater Poland diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland . The place of worship is the George Church in Białogard .

The children from Heidekrug attended the two-class elementary school in Roggow (today Polish: Rogowo) until 1945 . The last German teachers were Franz Schülke and Leonhard Redel .
