Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture Get Rich or Die Tryin ' is the soundtrack album for the film of the same name Get Rich or Die Tryin' . It was released on November 4, 2005 on the G-Unit Records , Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records labels . Most of the songs on the album are from the rapper 50 Cent , who also stars in the film.
Artist
Most of the songs on the soundtrack come from the rapper and label boss of G-Unit Records 50 Cent , who is involved in 15 of the 19 songs. In addition, other artists who were under contract with G-Unit at the time of publication are represented on the album. The singer Olivia can be heard on two songs, while the rapper Lloyd Banks appears on five songs. Young Buck appears on three tracks and the rappers Tony Yayo , Mase , MOP and Prodigy can each be heard on one track. The rap duo Mobb Deep and Spider Loc are involved in two pieces and the rapper Nate Dogg , who is not under contract with G-Unit, has a guest contribution on a song.

Various producers are responsible for the instrumentals on the album. Dr. Dre produced Talk About Me and When It Rains It Pours in collaboration with Mike Elizondo and Che Vicious . B-Money "B $" was responsible for the beat of Hustler's Ambition and Nick Speed created the instrumental for What If . Hi-Tek produced the beat for Best Friend and the song Don't Need No Help together with JR Rotem . Black Jeruz worked on Things Change with Sha Money XL , while The Outfit produced the track You Already Know . Kickdrums Productions and Recognize Reel produced When Death Becomes You and the beat of Have a Party was made by Fredwreck . The instrumental for the track We Both Think Alike was created by DJ Khalil , All-Star produced Get Low and Fake Love is a production by KOC Styles and Sire produced the beat for Window Shopper and the instrumental by Born Alone, Die Alone is by Havoc . Sha Money XL beats You a Shooter while Jake One produced I Don't Know Officer . Solomon is also responsible for the production of Cloud 9 and Ron Browz created the beat for I'll Whip Ya Head Boy .
Cover design

Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture Get Rich or Die Tryin ' rose to number 27 in the German charts in the 47th calendar week of 2005 and fell to positions 38 and 52 in the following weeks. In the 7th calendar week of 2006 the album reached the highest ranking with position 15. In total, the soundtrack stayed in the top 100 for 19 weeks. In the US, the album debuted at number 2 and stayed in the charts for 30 weeks.
The songs Hustler's Ambition , Window Shopper , Best Friend , I'll Whip Ya Head Boy and Have a Party were released as singles.

Dani Fromm from laut.de rated the album with two out of a possible five points. The rap and the music are largely characterized by "monotony", whereby the songs are all structured in the same way: "Verse, hook, verse, hook, pitch and tempo must not change at all." In comparison with the other songs, it turns out Tony Yayo's Fake Love is particularly bad, whereas "the only really recommendable number" is the bonus song Best Friend .
