The industrial area Mühlau / Arzl is a statistical district of Innsbruck in the area of the cadastral communities Mühlau and Arzl .
In addition to the industrial area between the railway line and Haller Straße ( B 171 ), the district includes the Neu-Arzl settlement south of Haller Straße, which was initially created as a shooting range around the state main shooting range that was moved to Arzler Au in 1893 and is now part of the Olympic village .
The statistical district comprises the statistical districts ( census districts ) Mühlau-Ost (39.6 ha, 513 inhabitants, 83 buildings, as of April 2014), which belongs to the cadastral municipality of Mühlau, and Arzl-Süd (40.8 ha, 1760 inhabitants, 274 Building), which belongs to the cadastral municipality of Arzl. The two parts are separated by the Schusterbergweg. The district has 2273 inhabitants and a population density of 2827 inhabitants / km². 12.3% of the population are younger than 15 years, 12.4% older than 65. The proportion of foreigners is 27.1% (as of 2013). In 2011 there were 335 workplaces with 2933 employees.
