The Arena Tour 2011 is the first Japan -Tournee the South Korean pop - group Girls' Generation . It began on May 31, 2011 in Osaka and ended on July 18, 2011 in Fukuoka .
overview
On March 7, 2011, Girls' Generation announced the beginning of the Japan tour for May 18 in the four cities of Tokyo , Nagoya , Osaka and Fukuoka . However, the start of the tour was postponed to May 31 due to the Tōhoku earthquake . Due to the high demand for tickets from over 300,000 people, four more concerts were added to the tour schedule.
One day after the start of the tour, on June 1st, their first Japanese album, Girls' Generation , was released and was presented on the tour.
Various Japanese TV channels reported in detail about the tour. Mezamashi TV in particular provided detailed reports on the start of the tour. On June 9th, NHK showed a special about Girls' Generation with some concert excerpts.
The tour had a total of 140,000 visitors. According to the website metroseoul.co.kr , the group generated sales of at least 200 billion won (equivalent to € 132,033,570 as of July 22, 2011) from the tour .
