St. Mauritius in Gleizendorf

Gleizendorf (colloquially: Gleits ə dorf ) is a district of the municipality of Petersaurach in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .

geography

To the north-east of the church village lies Großhaslach and to the south-west of Wicklesgreuth . A small stream rises near Gleizendorf and flows into the Haslach near Untermühle, a right tributary of the Bibert ; the Haslach (Haselbach) rises a little south of it at the Gleizendorfer Weiher. There is an industrial park to the east of the town and a rubble dump to the west. Municipal roads lead to the district road AN 22 near Großhaslach (0.8 km east) and the B 14 near Wicklesgreuth (0.7 km south-west).

history

The place was first mentioned by name in 1295 as "Glizendorf". The defining word of the place name is the personal name Glizo, which is to be assumed as the founder of the place. A branch church dedicated to St. Mauritius was built in the 13th century .

The monastery Heilsbronn bought gradually slope from all local courts (then six). The sellers were nobles and patricians from Nuremberg.

In the 16-point report of the Heilsbronn monastery office from 1608, six teams are listed for Gleizendorf: The five farms and the Köblergut were subordinate to the Heilsbronn monastery administration office . The six courtyards were spared during the Thirty Years' War , but were uninhabited for decades and fell into disrepair.

In the Oberamtsbeschreibung of the Principality of Ansbach by Johann Georg Vetter from 1732, the place is described as follows:

"Gleitzendorff, a little village in which the 5th farm, 2 Güthlein and 1st Hürten house, all of which. Belong to Closter Heilsbronn, have their own church, but no pastor, but belong as a branch to Petersaurach, give no toes, but the slurry goes to Closter Heilsbronn, where the parish rulership also belongs; Vestenberg Castle has the Kirchweyh protection. The hochfraischl. Authorities, however, the local Ober and Castenamt Anßpach, is a community with the Weyler Wückleinskreut. "

Even towards the end of the 18th century, Gleizendorf formed a community with Wicklesgreuth . In Gleizendorf there were seven properties (4 courtyards, 1 courtyard, 1 estate, 1 little house) and a shepherd's house belonging to the municipality. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Hofkastenamt Ansbach , the village and community rulership and the lordship over all properties was held by the Heilsbronn monastery administrator. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

As part of the community edict, Gleizendorf was assigned to the Großhaslach tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the Großhaslach rural community founded in 1811 . As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , it was incorporated into Petersaurach on May 1, 1978.
