Steinbach (colloquially: Schdāmba ) is a district of the municipality of Petersaurach in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .

geography

The village is located in the Steinbach Valley. There the Riedfeldgraben flows as a right tributary into the Steinbach, which is a right tributary of the Haselbach, which in turn is a right tributary of the Bibert . South of the village, the Tiefentalgraben flows into the Steinbach as a right tributary. The Haslacher Wald connects to the south and the Tiefental valley is approx. 0.75 km to the east .

Municipal roads lead to State Road 2246 north of Bruckberg (1.3 km northwest), to Großhaslach (2.6 km south) and crossing the district road AN 17 to Höfstetten (2.7 km).

history

The 16-point report of the Oberamt Ansbach from 1684 lists eleven teams for Steinbach: four properties were subordinate to the Hofkastenamt Ansbach , one property to the Lords of Eyb zu Bruckberg , one property to the secret Secretarius Wider and five properties originally to the Lords of Danngriess zu Vach , now Pfinzing . The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Hofkastenamt Ansbach.

In the Oberamtsbeschreibung of the Principality of Ansbach by Johann Georg Vetter from the year 1732, the place is described as follows: “Steinbach Ein Weyler, therein 4. Castenamt Anßpachische 1. Subject belonging to the Bruckberg Castle and 6. Nuremberg Pfintzingsche Hintersaßen and 1. common Hürtenhauß. These pastors to Großenhaßlach and give the toes to the Pfintzens in Nuremberg. The municipality belongs to Bruckberg Castle. The hochfraischlich high authorities, however, in the local Ober- and Castenamt Anßpach. "

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 13 properties and a shepherd's house belonging to the municipality in Steinbach. The high court exercised the court box office in Ansbach, the village and community rulership was held by the Bruckberg Vogtamt . The landlords were the principality of Ansbach (Hofkastenamt Ansbach: 1 Höflein, 2 half-yards, 2 estates, 1 Mühlgut; Vogtamt Bruckberg: 1 estate) and the Nuremberg owner von Haller (1 yard, 2 half-yards, 3 estates). From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach . There were eleven subject families at the time, five of which were Ansbachian.

As part of the community edict, Steinbach was assigned to the Großhaslach tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the Großhaslach rural community founded in 1811 . This was incorporated into the community of Petersaurach on May 1, 1978 as part of the regional reform .

The inhabitants of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination are parish to St. Maria (Großhaslach) . The residents of the Roman Catholic denomination were originally parish to Our Lady (Heilsbronn) , since 1992 they have been parish to St. Franziskus (Neuendettelsau) .
