Gregory Olsen (born on 11. March 1985 in Paterson , New Jersey is) a US American football poker players on the position of tight ends . He played college football at the University of Miami and was selected by the Chicago Bears in the 2007 NFL Draft . From 2011 to 2019 he was active for the Carolina Panthers in the National Football League (NFL). From 2020 he is under contract with the Seattle Seahawks .

Career

Early years

Olsen grew up in Wayne, New Jersey, where he also went to high school and played basketball in addition to football and competed in various athletics disciplines. As a senior, he was named a first-team All-American by USA Today in 2002 and ended his high school career with 73 passes caught for 1,474 yards and 27 touchdowns . Olsen originally enrolled at the University of Notre Dame , but then moved to the University of Miami in his freshman year in 2003 . He made his NFL debut on Matchday 3 against the Dallas Cowboys when he caught two passes for 28 yards. Two weeks later, he scored his first touchdown in professional football against the Green Bay Packers . In total, he got 39 catches for 391 yards and two touchdowns in his rookie season. In his second season his playing times increased and at the end of the season he led his team in captive touchdowns (5). In 2009 he quickly developed a good rapport with newly signed quarterback Jay Cutler , and he took 60 trapped passes for 612 yards and eight touchdowns. However, a new offensive coordinator was hired after the season with Mike Martz ; then Olsen's values ​​worsened compared to previous years. Carolina Panthers
