Grudge Match (Original title: Grudge Match) is an American comedy film of Peter Segal from the year 2013 with Robert De Niro , Kim Basinger and Sylvester Stallone in the lead roles .

Thirty years have passed since the last fight between the two retired boxers. Now they step into the ring together again for their last fight.
The boxers Henry “Razor” Sharp (Sylvester Stallone) and Billy “The Kid” McDonnen (Robert De Niro) are rivals - after two boxing matches in which each has beaten the other once. Before it comes to a crucial third fight, Razor ends his boxing career. When Razors ran out of money, he began to work in a shipyard where he worked before he started boxing. Razor receives a visit from promoter Dante Slate Jr. (Kevin Hart) who makes him an offer. He and Kid could do motion capture for a video game. Razor refuses at first, because he could not stand it with Kid "longer than three minutes" in a room and Slate's father brought him in his last fight for the income. In the end, however, he agrees because he is in financial difficulties - but on the condition that the recordings are not made at the same time as those of Kid. When it is Razor's turn at the game manufacturer's turn to begin, Kid walks through the door and there is a tussle. The resulting YouTube videos reached millions of clicks, and Slate sensed his chance to make a lot of money with one last fight between the two boxers.
When Razor is released from the shipyard, he agrees. Kid, meanwhile, has always been in favor of rematch. At the press conference announcing the fight, Razor's ex-girlfriend Sally Rose (Kim Basinger) also appears, who cheated on him with Kid in his youth and became pregnant by him. She wants to speak to Razor, but he doesn't care. Razor is coached by former trainer Louis "Lightning" Conlon (Alan Arkin) and Kid, although Sally opposes it, by his son BJ (Jon Bernthal).
Shortly before the decisive fight, Razor creates an accident, whereby Lightning learns that Razor has been blind in one eye for a long time. Lightning cancels the fight. Razor agrees, but later withdraws when he is provoked by the Kid.
The Kid notices during the full twelve-round fight that Razor is easier to hit on one side and takes advantage of this. Before the final round, BJ tells him about Razor's blindness in one eye. He takes advantage of Razor's weak side and knocks him to the ground. When Razor is counted, Kid realizes that such a win would be stale. He helps Razor to his feet before he's tallied. Now the Kid stands where Razor can see him. In the last seconds of the fight, Kid takes a few blows and goes down too. Now Razor helps him get back up and the ring bell rings. The fight is over. Razor wins in the end just on points.
The credits show Kid appearing on Dancing with the Stars and Slate trying to arrange a new fight with Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield.

Christopher Diekhaus from Spielfilm.de wrote: “Two of the old style is a double-edged sword. While the plot always remains transparent and works on clichés, the boxing comedy scores with a decidedly self-deprecating attitude towards its main actors and some crisp word duels. "
