occupation

Hausmeister Krause - Order must be is a German comedy television series that was broadcast on Sat.1 from 1999 to 2010 with Tom Gerhardt in the title role .

The series parodies the German philistine bourgeoisie . Dieter Krause embodies this character trait, because he is extremely clean, orderly, denouncing , curious, always looking for his own advantage, subservient to higher-ranking people and brutal and unjust to subordinates and weaker ones.

Many plot elements, such as constant mix-ups, mishaps and misunderstandings, come from the boulevard theater . The characters in the series are based on Tom Gerhardt's film Voll normaaal and have the same names, but do not completely correspond to them. In Voll Normaaal , Tom Gerhardt played both Dieter Krause and his son Tommie, who is now played by Axel Stein . Carmen is played by Janine Kunze . Other characters from Voll Normaaal, such as Tommie's friend Mario, are only marginal characters and the framework has also changed.

characters

Krause family

Dieter Krause ( Tom Gerhardt )

Dieter Krause is a family man and part-time caretaker of the Kalker Weg 5 residential complex in Cologne-Kalk , where he also lives in the caretaker's apartment. He likes to and often acts as a kind of block attendant and uses brutal methods to keep things tidy - in the sense that he understands them. As a result, he repeatedly clashes with tenants who, in his opinion, are notoriously and maliciously violating the house rules. That is why there are regular arguments with the property manager, Mr. Makielski. Since he often calls the police, he is already known there and is no longer taken seriously even with more important matters, so he cannot expect any help from there.

For Dieter, caretaker activity is not just a job, but an attitude and content to life. He is “always on duty”, even if he only has a part-time position. Accordingly, he always wears work clothes - even in the apartment - consisting of a gray work smock and corduroy hat. Dieter's greatest dream is to get the coveted full-time job, but every time his position is increased, he incurs the wrath of Makielski or the house owner with his over-zeal. However, he received the position in the episode “The Miracle” because of an error. It is unknown whether the job offer was withdrawn afterwards, but at the end of the episode he has the contract in his pocket.

Dieter's attitude corresponds to the "cyclist principle": hump up, step down. He behaves extremely submissively towards Makielski or even the owner of the residential complex, and treats the tenants and other “fellows” condescendingly. His big and only hobby is his dachshund Bodo and the associated Cologne dachshund club KTC 1881 eV In this club, Dieter holds the office of secretary , but does not miss any opportunity for intrigue to gain the office of president, which always fails.

In many episodes, Dieter runs out of time when two special events coincide. His attempts to bring all things under one roof always end in total chaos.

Elisabeth Krause ( Irene Schwarz )

Elisabeth Krause (née Küppers), also known as "Lisbeth" or "Lissi", is Dieter Krause's wife. She is a housewife and the good soul of the family. Now and then she dreams of a prosperous life with occasional vacation trips to Wipperfürth . Her husband's airs often drive her to despair, especially when he manages to gamble away the full-time job offered to him through his own stupidity. It also puts a lot of strain on her that Dieter has not slept with her for over 10 years. Lisbeth often enjoys a cup of coffee to relax.

Lisbeth is mostly ahead of Dieter in thinking, reason and compassion; she tries anxiously to talk him out of absurd actions and recognizes the dangers and the background if he remains clueless for a long time. Sometimes, however, the script also lets them share unabashedly bourgeois views or even maliciousnesses of Dieter, for example with Tommie's alleged homosexuality or her heir, who is thrown out of the house by Dieter and her because she apparently only wanted to bequeath her cat to them instead of real estate .

Carmen Krause ( Janine Kunze )

Carmen is the daughter of Dieter Krause. She is very attractive, not particularly intelligent, but has a certain peasant shrewdness . Her first name may allude to the opera of the same name . She always has new admirers, of whom Mustafa in particular is a thorn in her father's side. She can be tolerated generously by them, but every now and then a plagiarism “Made in Korea ” can cause trouble: “Luigi, the pig !!! - And that's why I went up with him! ". Often she faces a wedding that ends up bursting. Carmen does an apprenticeship as a hairdresser , but never finishes it because she repeatedly fails the theoretical test. Her outfit is very revealing (extremely short mini skirts , deep necklines , lots of make-up); She also earns money as a go -go dancer . Her supposedly imminent great film career turns out to be a porn production , but she does not notice it. She thinks little of other “work”; she spends a lot of time lazing around, painting toenails and fingernails, reading women's magazines and visiting Cologne clubs. Carmen's great hours always strike when the Krauses are chronically "burned down" and their new lover emerges as the supposedly wealthy and generous savior of the family's financial misery. Accordingly, Dieter tries every now and then to win Carmen's respective companions as a patron or even as a new member for the Dachshund Club in order to distinguish himself there. The admirers, however, are usually clichéd prolls, sleazy owners of cheap bars and clubs as well as rather dodgy characters from the petty crime or red light district , which is always clear to the viewer from the first moment, but from Carmen, Lisbeth and Dieter is not recognized or recognized too late because of her naivety or due to misunderstandings. The hope of financial help, social advancement, etc. always comes to an abrupt end, and the financial donations for the Dachshund Club, which Dieter had announced in advance, never come true.

Thomas "Tommie" Krause ( Axel Stein )

The corpulent, somewhat simple-minded son "Tommie" (Thomas, also called "Fettie" by his sister Carmen because of his corpulence) is particularly noticeable in his language through the use of inflectives such as "swallow, swallow" and "britzl, bratzl". His choice of words is often u. a. "Ey wobble, wobble, wobble, wobble", "Geil, ey!", "Ey, normaaal!" And "Full of epidemic ey!". Tommie usually appears in the same outfit (especially in the early seasons): shorts or sweatpants, T-shirt and bobble hat. He's struggling to get his teenage sex drive under control. He's also very bad at school, except for sex education . He also has a pronounced preference for splatter films and porn magazines. In the second episode of the 7th season, "The Jungfrau", the boy's drawing and artistic talent, which contradicts the usual impression, becomes clear. The role of Tommie in caretaker Krause corresponds in the broadest sense to the role of Tommie in Tom Gerhardt's film " Voll normaaal " from 1994.

Despite these gross outward appearances, however, Tommie shows, as the youngest member of the family, possibly the most sensitive, if not the most sincere, character of all. He is often seen in emergency situations, which, unlike his father, he is not responsible for himself, but which he suffers as a young victim (e.g. the unaccepted Turkish friend Ayshe, the violation from the family as a supposed cuckoo child and also his futile search for sexuality ). Because basically Tommie is the one in the family who has the least control: Neither the authority and callousness of his parents, before whom he is almost always meek, nor the attractiveness of his older sister, let alone any other social success. Accordingly, Tommie has the least belief in his own superiority to wrap others around the finger and take advantage of; rather, he limits himself to juvenile practical jokes, which, however, sometimes overshoots the mark. For example, he harasses Carmen's girlfriend Jessica while she is showering, grabs classmates in their private parts and, in the episode "Romeo and Juliet", calls on two classmates to dance stark naked in front of his video camera.

Dachshund Bodo

Bodo, whose full name is Bodo von der Hermannsklause , is Dieter Krause's pure-bred short-haired dachshund . Dieter spoils him so much that family interests are left out, even Lisbeth's birthday. The stories of many episodes are directly or indirectly about Bodo. Among other things, Lisbeth, Carmen and Tommie try to kill Bodo in one episode. In the course of the series, Bodo is raised to a drug detection dog ("drug dachshund" ("DD")) and a rescue dachshund .

Other leading roles

Mr. Makielski ( Jürgen Tonkel )

Günther Makielski is the property manager and therefore the only one who can keep Dieter halfway in check. Due to the brutal manner with which Dieter acts against roommates, he often has problems with Mr. Makielski. Makielski is mostly kind-hearted and friendly, but can also get angry if he happens to be the victim of Dieter's campaigns for revenge against tenants or other "criminal elements" (which often happens). After Makielski left after a dispute, Dieter Krause often called him a stupid monkey. Makielskis role represents the educated middle class in the series. Mr Makielski has the authority to fire Dieter, but for various reasons this never happens, at least not permanently. Makielski's wife Sybille also appears in some episodes. She was portrayed by three different actresses.

The Dachshund Club

The KTC Dachshund Club (Kölner Teckel Club) 1881 e. V. is Dieter's only hobby. Accordingly, he leaves everything where he is when the duty to attend a club meeting calls or another concern of his dachshund comrades demands that they appear.

The club itself is very militaristic and generally a satire on the German club dairy . So members ("comrades") who take the floor must stand up and stand at attention; this only with the prior approval of the President. Uniforms are mandatory at club meetings, these are hung with medals for services to the dachshund and other awards. Club life is characterized by militaristic ceremonies, starting with the command tone ("The whole dachshund: sit!"), Through marches with drums to the ritual reciting of Credos ("Everything for the dachshund ..."). In addition, there is the singing of songs, whereby they show strong parallels to National Socialism ; The dachshund song "Put your snout up, pull the leash taut" has the same melody as the Horst Wessel song and the lyrical closeness can hardly be overlooked. Of National Socialism also reminiscent ranks of the umbrella organization of the Dachshund Club; here, for example, there is a Gauleiter and an Oberrudelführer. Every now and then utterances are made that are reminiscent of the Second World War (“It was colder in Stalingrad!”). In addition, in some episodes a picture of the club president hangs on the wall next to the counter, on which he poses similar to Adolf Hitler .

The club and / or the umbrella organization organize numerous festivities, some of which are quite obscure, such as the Dachshund Olympics, the puppy consecration or even a procession in which a selected dachshund (usually that of the president) is carried around in a litter - the teckolonium - like a relic . The “cyclist principle” also prevails in the club: hump up, step down. Club members who are ranked below one are treated like subordinates, while higher-ranking members, especially those of the umbrella organization, are treated with downright sloppy respect.

The club members known by name besides Dieter are: Karl (including Hans Martin Stier), Günter (Jens Kraus), Herbert (Detlev Redinger), Hubert (Konrad Adams), Helmut (Thomas Scheibe), Horst (Thomas Bauer). When the club meets, there are usually six people present, sometimes fewer, and rarely more.

The members present are always men, but there is one ambiguity: In the 1st episode of the 7th season "Woman against Will" the club members receive the Gau badge in silver on the "Day of Morality", as according to President Karl and the Gauleiter the club has only male members (women are probably not welcomed by the Gauleiter in the clubs, especially since the club discipline has suffered in some clubs since they were accepted). In contrast, Karl mentions in the first episode of the first season “The Wedding Day” that Dieter's wife Lisbeth was also entered when he was recorded. Although she was never present, she still has the right to vote: In the presidential election, she prevented Dieter's assumption of office because she was angry with him because he had forgotten their wedding day.

Herbert Fink ( Detlev Redinger )

Herbert Fink is Dieter's best friend and also a member of the Dachshund Club; his dachshund is called Horsti. Not only because of his external appearance (tank top, horn-rimmed glasses, black, parted hair) he corresponds to the stereotype of the "eternal bachelor", he is also extremely shy, already over forty without ever having a girlfriend, and stutters extremely. He is unemployed and still lives with his mother, who strictly rations his pocket money and occasionally beats him up. Herbert is madly in love with Dieter's daughter Carmen, but she is not very enthusiastic about it. Dieter likes to take advantage of all these circumstances in order to involve the simple-minded Herbert in his plans to maintain the house rules; mostly it is about Herbert playing the bait for alleged sex offenders, robbers or drug dealers. If the - mostly justified - concerns or even refuses, Dieter usually manages to convince him of the importance of his commitment with the alleged prospect of a happy future with Carmen, which then almost always ends in fiasco. Due to his extreme stuttering, Herbert delivers some running gags in the series. Whenever he meets Carmen (mostly spontaneously), he greets her with "Ooohhh! Ca ... Ca ... Carmen!", Which Carmen says with disparaging intent: "Ooohhh! He ... He ... Herbert ! " is answered. He also stutters when reciting the creed in the Dachshund Club ("Everything for the Dachshund, everything for the Club, our life for the dog!") On the word "Dog", which means that he always needs a moment longer than the other members for the saying . Herbert is initially still a “virgin”, but later has intercourse with his mother: Believing that he is making his beloved Carmen happy, he unknowingly “mounts” Lisbeth's mother sleeping there in her room and proudly announces the new era: "D ... D ... Dieter - now I'm ka ... ka ... no longer a virgin!" And Herbert actually becomes a biological father, albeit in a different context and without ever experiencing this: During a jostling in In the practice of a reproductive medicine doctor, “his can” of the sperm donation is confused with that of Mr. Makielski. A little later, he proudly announces his new role as father-to-be. When his mother dies, Herbert and Dieter found their own dachshund club.

Karl Göbel ( Hans-Martin Stier (1999; 2004–2010), Peter Uwe Arndt (2001), Wolf-Dietrich Berg (2002–2004))

Karl Göbel is the President of the Dachshund Club KTC 1881 eV He is bald and (depending on the actor) glasses. Karl leads his club with an iron hand ("The whole dachshund: sit!") And undisputed authority; Efforts by other club members to rise in the hierarchy are nipped in the bud. The president is the stereotype of the old Prussian military. The character Karl Göbel was embodied as the only leading role in the series by various actors.

Recurring supporting roles

Mr. Fritsch ( Gudo Hoegel )

is the main owner of the residential complex on Kalker Weg and a caricature by Reiner Calmund . He is an unscrupulous Cologne entrepreneur who got rich with the waste incineration business (the company name of his company is "Multi-Müll") and managed to get out of the lower class. He owns other apartments in the “wildly romantic” Cologne-Porz . He guards his daughter Evelyn, a typical spoiled brat, like the apple of his eye. If someone gets in his way, one often hears the sentence: "Ignite it!" In the 2nd episode of the 7th season "The Virgin" his shy son appears, who likes to write poetry and almost Carmen is getting married.

Hubert ( Konrad Adams )

is the vice president of the club and is always openly hostile to Dieter. He would have loved to have Dieter expelled from the club and intrigued against him. His position as Vice President sometimes wobbles, but through a misfortune or mishap, Dieter himself ensures that Hubert ultimately keeps his office. Hubert is artistically gifted and is occasionally commissioned by the Dachshund Club to design posters. But sometimes something goes wrong, because in the episode “Dötzi, the original dachshund” he put the date February 31st on posters for the “Dachshund Open Day”, after which no one appeared and the club threatened to be punished.

The hippies Rudolf ( Christian Wittmann ) and Gesine ( Melanie Jung )

live in the same house as the Krause family. They consume various drugs such as hashish , speed , magic mushrooms and belladonna . Dieter often smugly enters the flat of the shared apartment. He suspects vermin and (not wrongly) drugs there. The couple constantly serve as the scapegoat , whatever happens in the house. Also called: the "damn marihuna smokers" or "the filthy flat share there".

Mario (including David Lütgenhorst )

is Tommie's Italian friend. Together the two are an unbeatable team and cause a lot of mess. In the two feature films Voll normaaal and Ballermann 6 , Mario plays the leading role alongside Tommie (played there by Tom Gerhardt) and is played by Hilmi Sözer . In the series he is only a minor character who is portrayed by different actors - mostly David Lütgenhorst.

Mrs. Wermelskirchen ( Ruth Küllenberg )

is an elderly lady who lives in the same house as the Krause family on one of the upper floors.
In contrast to most of the other tenants, Dieter has nothing against her and is always friendly to her (“Juten Tach, Frau Wermelskirschen!”); Ms. Wermelskirchen, on the other hand, is extremely abrupt towards Dieter and sometimes reacts really scared because, like the property manager Mr. Makielski, she is often an unintentional victim of Dieter's unauthorized measures against vermin or alleged "criminal elements".
In the episode "Der Mörder" (season 2, episode 13) she faints several times when Dieter shoots a marten with his rifle , and Tommy and his friend Mario a garbage can with a giant firecracker (intended by Dieter for the marten hunt) blow up, in which Mrs. Wermelskirchen wants to dispose of her garbage at this very moment.

Rosemarie Küppers (Gigi Herr)

is the mother-in-law of Dieter Krause (the mother of Elisabeth) and sees in him a good-for-nothing and the man who has brought shame on her daughter. Thanks to her somewhat quick-tempered character, every appearance by her ends with grotesque scenes of violence in which Dieter is physically injured. Dieter's antipathy towards his mother-in-law is therefore hardly surprising. Except Dieter, nobody suspects a connection between the riots and their temperament.

Die Rohdereits (Sascha, played by Michael Dierks and Klaus, played by Frank Reidock )

are a homosexual couple who also live in house number 5. In addition to the stoner couple, they are always the first to be suspected when there are problems in the house. Occasionally both of them visit the gay bar Club Mausefalle , whose darkrooms like to practice BDSM practices. The name is an allusion to the Berlin Mayor Klaus Wowereit , who also lives in a same-sex relationship.

The Gauleiter ( Jochen Senf / Hendrik Arnst )

is the head of a higher-level organization of the German Dachshund Club Association. He appears sporadically in the club to give honors or to solve problems. Dieter lets all meetings with the Gauleiter end in a disaster for himself and his club.

Mrs. Ricken ( Maren Gilzer )

lives one floor above Dieter Krause. He finds her very attractive and more and more often she is the object of his desire. Dieter repeatedly has dreams of sexual acts with her, but he is usually torn from his wet dreams by his wife Lissi.

Jazzy ( Sara Kelly-Husain )

is Carmen's girlfriend. Tommie finds her attractive, which he shows in several episodes.

Ayshe Göremek ( Arzu Bazman )

is Tommie's girlfriend. Your family is very wealthy. Initially, Tommie's family forbade him to see Ayshe because she is of Turkish origin and Dieter and Lissie are based on the cliché that Ayshe's brothers would come with knives and beat up the family. When they find out about the financial situation, however, they want Tommie to impregnate them. Ayshe is extremely rare.

The head pack leader (Lutz Michael)

is often in the Dachshund Club and, as with visits to the Gauleiter, it always ends in chaos.

Marielka (Carolin Spiess)

is a Polish cleaning lady. Whenever Lisbeth shows up, Dieter has her in his arms or an ambiguous situation preceded her. Anyway, Lisbeth is always jealous.

Trivia

  • In four episodes Tom Gerhardt not only plays his main role, but also a different character in each episode: In the episode Der Sittenstrolch (Season 1) a moronic exhibitionist , in the episode Murder! (Season 2) a schizophrenic mass murderer and in the episode Uncle Eddy (Season 3) and Voll die Bescherung (Season 8) Dieter's strongly kleptomaniac brother Eddy. The first two roles tie in with the character "Heinz" developed by Tom Gerhardt, while Eddy shows strong parallels to Tommie from "Voll Normaal" and therefore gets along very well with his counterpart in the series.
  • In the episode Die Notoperation (Season 1), the porn film cameraman "Frankie" portrayed by Jochen Nickel is based on the character of the same name from the film Bang Boom Bang - Ein Todicheres Ding .
  • All members of the Krause family appear in Tom Gerhardt's 1994 film “ Voll normaaal ”. The Krauses don't live there in a caretaker's apartment, but have a modest little home of their own. Tommie Krause already works in a car workshop. The rest is almost identical: the clothes of the Krauses correspond in every detail to their clothes in the later series; the well-known characterization of the individual family members can already be seen to some extent. Dieter Krause is not yet so bossy, however, Carmen is even more bitchy. The Dachshund Club also appears in Voll normaaal. Both the roles of Tommie and Dieter Krause are played there by Tom Gerhardt, Carmen was played by Veronica Ferres .
  • The plot of several episodes partly consists of dreams of Dieter Krause, which have a nightmarish end and from which he usually wakes up shortly before the end of the episode.
  • The eighth season of "Hausmeister Krause - Order must be" was only broadcast on Sat.1 in the summer of 2010 well after midnight, although it had already been produced in 2008. In the last episode "The End" Dieter Krause loses his job, is excluded from the Dachshund Club and abandoned by his family (Tommie goes to Mallorca, Carmen to Iraq, and Lisbeth moves in with her new and secret admirer Olaf). Then he and his loyal friend Herbert found a mobile caretaker service and a new dachshund club, of which he becomes president.
  • In the dandelion episode on the subject of bionics, Tom Gerhardt has a guest appearance as a caretaker who gives complicated directions.
  • In episode 74 of the eighth season called The Chancellor Comes , Chancellor Angela Merkel is shown.
  • In episode 75 (season 8), Norbert Heisterkamp has a leading role in the episode as caretaker "Rasen-Rolf".
  • In episode 66 (season 7), Karl Dall plays a homeless man.
  • The ambulance appearing in some episodes is played by the series director, Geriet Schieske .
  • In episode 79 (season 8) Sarah Tkotsch has a guest appearance as Eddy Krause's illegitimate daughter, who was born in Wipperfürth.
  • In the episode "Goldlawine" Ralf Richter embodies a police officer.
  • Hans Werner Olm appears as a social worker Olaf.
  • In episode 40 (season 4) Michaela Schaffrath plays a neighbor.
