The University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland or Western Switzerland University of Applied Sciences and Arts ( French occidentale HES-SO Haute école spécialisée de Suisse ; Engl .: University of Applied Sciences and Art Western Switzerland ) is a centrally managed University of Applied Sciences in the west of Switzerland . It comprises 28 schools in the cantons of Friborg , Geneva , Jura , Neuchâtel , Valais , Vaud and Bern . With over 19,000 students, the HES-SO is the second largest university of applied sciences in Switzerland after the Zurich University of Applied Sciences . 63 Bachelor and Master courses are offered.

Freiburg

The Freiburg University of Economics (HSW-FR) was founded in 1991 under the name Ecole supérieure de cadres pour l'économie et l'administration (ESCEA) and has developed rapidly since then. Their success is reflected both in the wide range of courses (Bachelor, Master and advanced training) and in the steadily increasing number of students and lecturers. Furthermore, the university is consistently expanding its activities in the field of applied research and is receiving more and more orders from companies and organizations.

Under the umbrella of the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland (HES-SO), it is the only HSW in Switzerland that offers a trilingual Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (FR / DE / EN). It is also characterized by a master’s degree in entrepreneurship, which, as is characteristic of universities of applied sciences, optimally combines scientific knowledge with concrete applications.
