Helge Brendryen (born February 17, 1972 ) is a former Norwegian ski jumper .

Career

Brendryen jumped in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup from 1991 . After good results in his first season in 1991/92, he made his debut in the ski jumping World Cup on December 5, 1992 . When jumping in Falun , he jumped to 23rd place. On January 30, 1993, he achieved a place in the top ten for the first time in ski flying on the Kulm with 10th place. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1993 he won the gold medal in team jumping together with Bjørn Myrbakken , Øyvind Berg and Espen Bredesen . Shortly thereafter, he finished his first World Cup season in 1992/93 in 35th place in the overall World Cup ranking. In the following years he was unable to establish himself among the world's best in the World Cup and ended his career there after the 1994/95 World Cup season and then jumped exclusively in the Continental Cup. In the same year he won the silver medal at the Norwegian Championships on the large hill in Oslo . Until 1999 he started unsuccessfully in the Continental Cup. His best overall ranking was a 69th place in the 1996/97 season .

In 1999 he ended his active ski jumping career.
