Hermann Adolph Richard Conrad Freiherr von Vietinghoff called Scheel (born February 28, 1829 in Schweidnitz , † January 5, 1905 in Görlitz ) was a Prussian lieutenant general .

Hermann was the son of the Prussian major a. D. Gustav Adolph Freiherr von Vietinghoff called Scheel (* February 2, 1793 in Wensöwen ; † September 16, 1858 in Züllichau ) and his wife Karoline Luise, born von Hederich (* December 30, 1807 in Nimptsch ; † February 23, 1881 in Züllichau).

Military career

After visiting the school in Swidnica Vietinghoff came on 23 March 1841, the cadet in the military academy to Wahlstatt and moved on July 5, 1844 as a cadet to Berlin.
