i & u TV is a television production company founded in Cologne in 2000 and was owned by Günther Jauch until 2019 . The company has 150 permanent employees in 2020 and generated sales of 52.3 million euros in 2013. The managing director and editor-in-chief is Andreas Zaik. After the publishing house Gruner + Jahr withdrew from the company, Günther Jauch was the sole shareholder. In September 2019 Jauch sold the company to the US financial investor KKR . But he continues to work as a moderator and consultant.
In 2011, Manager Magazin put Günther Jauch in first place in its “Stars of Production” ranking with twelve productions .
