Economy and Infrastructure

The most important operation is an oil terminal with two tank farms from Lukoil on the Wolgaufer above and below the town.

Ilyinka is located on the regional road that connects Astrakhan with the Liman district administrative center in the southwestern part of the oblast . This branches off a few kilometers north of the town from the old route of the federal trunk road R216 , which leads from Astrakhan via the Kalmyk capital Elista to Stavropol (a new route runs a little further northwest as a large bypass of Astrakhan). The regional road is a continuation of the R22 Kaspi from Kaschira near Moscow and also part of the European route 119 , which continues along the west coast of the Caspian Sea towards Dagestan and Azerbaijan .
