Jörg Albrecht (born August 21, 1981 in Bonn ) is a German author . He lives in Berlin .

Life

Jörg Albrecht studied comparative literature , modern German literature , history and theater studies in Bochum and Vienna . In 2006 he completed his studies with a master's thesis on Rolf Dieter Brinkmann , and in 2011 he received his doctorate on "The Poetics of Abortion". Together with the musician Matthias Grübel , he stages radio plays and multimedia literary performances as a duo phonofix .

In December 2017, Jörg Albrecht was appointed "Founding Director and Artistic Director" at Hülshoff Castle with effect from February 1, 2018 . Under his leadership, Hülshoff Castle is to become a “museum, learning, residence and multifunctional venue”. On February 6, 2018 he was a studio guest in the WDR local time Münsterland.

Albrecht is also a member of the theater collective copy & waste and in the PEN Center Germany .

In May 2014 Albrecht was imprisoned for four days on suspicion of espionage while visiting the Abu Dhabi Book Fair .

Literary works

In 2006, Albrecht's novel Drei Herzen was published , which tells of three generations and their media perception: a generation of grandparents as edelweiss scouts, a generation of parents as 68 and a generation in the late 1990s . The only brand names mentioned in the novel are the names of cameras and cameras. Albrecht's literary works resist traditional reception requirements such as the unity of the plot and characters or fixed motifs and are thus reminiscent of procedures such as those developed by the contemporary writers Rainald Goetz , Thomas Meinecke or Andreas Neumeister . After the novel Sternstaub, Goldfunk, Silberstreif (2008), Albrecht announced a book about 'werewolves and creative industries' for 2012.
He is co-founder of the authors' alliance nazisundgoldmund.net (blog online since 2016), which sees itself as "a multi-headed poetological monster that critically observes the developments and actions of the European right and its international alliances."

Theater works

After various workshop performances and in-house productions, Albrecht's play Harry Lime got alive in 2010 ! And in this light! performed at the Wiener Schauspielhaus (director: Jan-Christoph Gockel). The drama is based on the character Harry Lime from Carol Reed's The Third Man (1949).
