Jason Everman

Jason Everman (born August 16, 1967 in Kodiak , Alaska ) is an American guitarist and bassist. He played at Nirvana and Soundgarden .

Everman was a guitarist in various grunge bands in the 1980s and 1990s . In 1989 he is listed as the second guitarist on the Nirvana debut album Bleach and can also be seen on the cover, although he should not have recorded anything for the album. He later played as a replacement for bassist Hiro Yamamoto for the Louder Than Love tour of 1989/90 at Soundgarden and was then replaced by Ben Shepherd . In 1992, he played bass on the album Lo Flux Tube of grindcore - / industrial metal band OLD Finally, in 1993 he took as a guitarist with the crossover group Mind Funk album Dropped , however, on the band left a short time later. Everman left the music business in the mid-1990s to join the US military in 1994. He was used in the 2nd Battalion of the 75th Ranger Regiment and later with the US Special Forces . After retiring from the military, he began studying at Columbia University , graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts.
