Friday June 12th
- Beneschau / Austria-Hungary : Emperor Wilhelm II arrives at Konopischt Castle (in Czech Konopiště ) - accompanied by Baron von Reischach , Alfred von Tirpitz and others - for several days of consultations with the Archduke of Austria Franz Ferdinand . Concerning the content of the meeting, the participants finally announced that they came together purely privately and the visit to the rose garden was the highlight of the visit.
Wednesday June 17th
- German Empire : The Hohenzollern Canal is opened to the public by Kaiser Wilhelm II . The shipping route connects the Havel and Oder .
Thursday June 24th
- Salzburg / Austria-Hungary : The all-round sports club Salzburger AK 1914 is founded as the first football club in the state .
Thursday June 25th
- Timor : The Swiss judge Charles Édouard Lardy from the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague ruled on the controversial demarcation between the two colonial powers Portugal and the Netherlands on the Southeast Asian island. It is almost identical to the present-day border between Indonesia and East Timor (as of 2014).
- Aspern / Austria-Hungary : The Lloyd LS-1 , an aircraft from the Hungarian Lloyd Flugzeug- und Motorenfabrik , sets a record in altitude. It reaches a height of 5,600 m with one passenger. Just two days later, on June 27th, the record was improved to 6,170 m.
- Ålesund / Norway : Aalesunds FK football club is founded. The club colors were red and white when it was founded and changed to blue and yellow in 1919.
Friday June 26th
- Berlin / German Empire : Das Panzergewölbe , a detective film from the film series “Stuart Webbs” , celebrates its world premiere at the Kammerlichtspiele on Potsdamer Platz.
- Westport / Washington : The place receives city rights.
- Graz / Austria-Hungary : The first aircraft takes off from Graz Airport after around a year of construction.
Saturday June 27th
- German Empire : The Roon fish steamer is delivered to the Nordsee shipping company .
- Vienna / Austria-Hungary : The final plan for the Viennese Kontumazanlage is approved by a decree of the Agriculture Ministry and on July 10, 1914 also by the municipal council.
Sunday June 28th
- Sarajevo / Austria-Hungary : Gavrilo Princip , a member of the Serbian nationalist movement Mlada Bosna , shoots the assassination in Sarajevo heir Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie Chotek, Duchess of Hohenberg . The assassination sparked the July crisis from which finally led to World War I led.
Monday June 29th
- Brandenburg an der Havel and Havelsee / German Empire : The Brandenburg-Briest airfield is opened. The next day the first planes land.
- Sarajevo / Austria-Hungary : One day after the attack in Sarajevo there are anti-Serb demonstrations. During these demonstrations, the Serbian Orthodox seminary building and the metropolitan headquarters are damaged before the crowd moves to the Orthodox Cathedral of the Nativity .
Tuesday June 30th
- United States : A Congress Act approves the construction of the battleship USS New Mexico (BB-40) . The lead ship of the New Mexico class is named in honor of the 47th US state .
- Erndtebrück / German Empire : The opening of the first section of the Altenhundem – Birkelbach railway line will take place at 9:20 am with a military concert and the opening trip from Erndtebrück to Altenhundem.
