The Küssnachter Ice Skating Club (often also KSC Küssnacht , KSC Küssnacht am Rigi ) is an ice hockey club from Küssnacht SZ , Canton Schwyz , Switzerland .

The artificial ice rink cooperative Küssnacht decided to build an open ice rink in 1978, after which the Küssnacht ice skating club was founded.

In 1988, the club's men's team was relegated from the first division to the second division, in which it played until 2015.

In 1998 the open ice rink was roofed over and has since been called the Rigi Hall . It has a capacity of 2,200 viewers.

Today (2016) the club operates two men's teams in the 3rd division (fifth division) as well as a large number of youth teams.

Women

In March 2007 the EV Zug decided to dissolve its women's team. A large part of the squad then moved up to Küssnachter SC, which also in the starting area of the ECC the top flight in the women's ice hockey, the performance class A could take over. In the following two seasons, the team reached the semi-finals and failed in the small finals for the women of the ZSC Lions . In 2009 the team was disbanded due to a lack of players.

Back then, Daniela Diaz , today's national coach, as well as Nicole Bullo , Melanie Häfliger , Lara Stalder , Jeanette Marty and Anja Stiefel played at KSC.
