The settlement belonged to the estate district "Borker Heide, part for Goldap, Forst" and was reclassified on May 19, 1933 to the rural community of Kallnischken (1938 to 1945: Kunzmannsrode, Polish : Kalniszki ) in the district of Rothebude.
