Borki is a small place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , which belongs to the rural community Kowale Oleckie (Kowahlen , 1938–1945 Reimannswalde) in the Powiat Olecki ( Oletzko district , Treuburg district 1933–1945 ).
Borki is located in the northeast of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship north of the Jezioro Litygajno (Litigainosee) on the northwestern bank of the Jezioro Łażno (Haschner See) . The district town of Olecko is 24 kilometers to the south-east. Borki is on the side road that connects Dybowo (Diebowen , 1938–1945 Diebauen) with Leśny Zakątek (Waldkater) in the center of the Borkener Forest (also: Borker Heide, Polish Puszcza Borecka ).
No documents are available about any history of Borki before 1945. Today there is a name connection with the larger village of Borki, three kilometers further south-east and already in the rural municipality of Świętajno (Schwentainen) . Today the settlement Borki belongs to the rural community Kowale Oleckie - within which to the Schulzenamt ( Polish Sołectwo ) Czerwony Dwór (Rothebude) - in Powiat Olecki of the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .
