Geographical location
Lake View is located in southeast Piscataquis County and borders on Penobscot County . To the west is Schoodic Lake , to the north of Seboeis Lake and to the southeast of Hardy Pond . The surface is slightly hilly and the highest point is Acorn Hill , which is 216 m high .

history
Lake View was organized as a plantation on June 16, 1892. Previously, the area was named Township No. 4, Eighth Range North of Waldo Patent (T4 R8 NWP) . The organization as a plantation was confirmed in 1895 and 1922.
Today Lake View is part of the Three Rivers Community Alliance , a loose community association based in Milo .
