Dessau district
The Dessau district was a district in the Duchy of Anhalt from 1863 to 1919 and a district in the Free State of Anhalt from 1919 to 1932 . It had an area of 425 km² and its county seat was Dessau .
history
The Duchy of Anhalt was divided into districts in 1863, and the Dessau district was also founded. In 1870 the Dessau district gave the former Radegast office and the Wadendorf community to the Köthen district . In 1878 new community, town and village regulations were introduced for the Duchy of Anhalt. In 1914 a new municipal code was again introduced. On January 1, 1932, the district was merged with the Köthen district to form the Dessau-Köthen district.
