Legacy ( English for “ heritage ” / “ legacy ”) is a best-of album by German rapper Kollegah . It was released on July 14, 2017 on the Selfmade Records label as a standard and limited gold award edition.

Standard edition
The album contains a total of 40 songs from the period from 2005 to 2017. 35 of the songs are remastered versions and come from Kollegah's solo albums, mix tapes and samplers that he released on Selfmade Records during this time. With five tracks each, most of them were taken from the albums pimp tape volume 3 and pimp tape volume 4 . The best-of also includes five previously unreleased tracks that were recorded especially for the album.
Box set
In addition to the standard edition of the album, the Limited-Gold-Award-Edition also contains Kollegah's nine solo albums, Zuhalteertape (X-Mas Edition) (2005), Boss der Bosse (2006), Alphagene (2007), Kollegah (2008 ), released via Selfmade Records ), Pimp tape Volume 3 (2009), Hoodtape Volume 1 X-Mas Edition (2010), Bossaura (2011), King (2014) and pimp tape Vol. 4 (2015). The box set also includes the two-hour Legacy DVD with previously unpublished video recordings, as well as the Golden Era tour tape , which Kollegah recorded with other rappers on his Imperator tour.

Cover design
The album cover is in black and white and shows Kollegah, who looks at the viewer seriously. The golden lettering Kollegah and Legacy are in the lower part of the picture . The background is black.
Guest Posts
In addition to Kollegah, other artists are represented on nine songs on the album. So the rapper Favorite , label-mate of Self Made Records, the songs made Kaputt , Self Made raid bosses , middle finger up , West Germany Kings and disco-speed involved, taking on the middle finger up also the rapper Casper is heard and West Germany Kings also Farid Bang makes its appearance . Slick One , the label boss of Selfmade Records, has guest appearances on the tracks Rauch and Ein Junge cry nicht hier , whereby Tarek from the rap group KIZ is also represented on the latter . Legacy entered the German album charts at number 2 on July 21, 2017, ranked 19th the following week and stayed in the top 100 for a total of seven weeks. The album reached position 8 in Austria and 11th in Switzerland. It was 91st in the 2017 annual German album charts.
On March 10, 2017, the title track Legacy was released as the first single and reached number 51 in the German charts. In addition to a music video for the single, videos for the songs Millennium , Sommer and Rapflows, Cashflows were released in advance of the album release .
