The 2013/14 season is the 23rd season of the Latvian Ice Hockey League , the highest Latvian ice hockey league . The HS Prizma Riga became champions for the first time in the club's history .

In the main round, the six teams played 30 games each. Each team received three points for a win after regular time, each team received two points for a win after overtime, one point for a loss after overtime and zero points for a defeat after regular time. The two best-placed teams qualified directly for the semi-finals of the playoffs, in which the champions are played off, while the other four teams play off the other two participants in the semi-finals in the play-off quarter-finals.
Attendees
HK Liepājas Metalurgs II , HK SMScredit and SK Riga 96 withdrew from the participants of the previous season. The HK Kurbads and HK Daugavpils were added as replacements . In addition, the HK Riga Juniors were renamed HK Dinamo Juniors .
Main round
The main round of the Latvian ice hockey league consisted of 30 game days, began on September 7, 2013 and ended on February 26, 2014. HK Kurbads prevailed with 22 wins from 30 games and, together with JLSS Zemgale , reached the playoff semifinals.
