The list of municipalities in the Northwest Province lists all municipalities ( Local Municipalities ) in the South African Province Northwest ( North West ).
Northwest is divided into four districts (District Municipalities) with a total of 18 (until 2016: 19) municipalities.
Legend
- Parish: Name of the parish
- Full name: Official name of the municipality
- Code: Code of the municipality (Municipal Code)
- Seat: the administrative seat of the municipality
- Population (census): Number of inhabitants of the municipality according to the 2001 census
- Inhabitants (census): Number of inhabitants of the municipality according to the 2011 census
- Area: Area of the municipality (as of 2011)
- District: District to which the parish belongs
