List of Portuguese ambassadors in Togo
The list of Portuguese ambassadors in Togo lists the ambassadors of the Republic of Portugal in Togo . The countries have had direct diplomatic relations since 1978, which date back to the arrival of the Portuguese explorers in what is now Togo around 1472.
Portugal has not yet opened its own embassy in the Togolese capital Lomé ; since relations began, the country has belonged to the administrative district of the Portuguese ambassador to Nigeria , who is accredited for a second time in Togo .
